Free 20-minute consultation. Every couple or individual starts here — a conversation to see if we're the right fit. No obligation, no clinical intake, no cost.
All prices are GST inclusive. In-person sessions at Kyneton include a $20 room hire fee, which is reflected in the prices shown. After-hours appointments (outside standard business hours) may incur a 15% surcharge.
Most couples work within a 6–10 session arc. Intensive formats are available for those who need to move faster. Session fees are discussed at the free consult — no financial commitment at that stage.
Ranges Counselling aims to provide affordable and accessible services. We understand that the cost of counselling is a real consideration for many families — particularly those navigating the financial pressures of new parenthood.
Payment plans are available for those experiencing financial hardship. Please mention this at the free consult or in your enquiry — it will be handled with complete discretion and without judgment.
The Bringing Baby Home workshop (June 2026) is available completely free of charge, supported by Macedon Ranges Shire Council and Kyneton Community House — an ideal starting point for couples who are not yet ready for individual sessions.
After-hours surcharge: Appointments outside standard business hours may incur a 15% surcharge. Standard hours are Wednesday to Friday 9am–6pm. Evening sessions (6pm–8pm) and Saturday morning sessions may attract the surcharge — confirmed at booking.
Individual couples-oriented sessions are available at individual rates for clients whose partner is not yet willing to attend. Working with one partner on their role in the relational system frequently brings the other partner in within a few sessions. Appropriate for the Father Re-engagement Pathway.
Community programs are a deliberate choice. Free programs funded through council and community partnerships make early intervention accessible to families who might not otherwise seek support. Bringing Baby Home is the ideal first step for couples who are not yet ready for individual sessions — it's not therapy, it's preparation.
Session fees are not just for the time in the room. Every session includes pre-session preparation, evidence-based clinical practice, and post-session work — not billed separately.
The cost of counselling should not be a barrier to accessing support — especially for families navigating the pressures of new parenthood, financial strain, or relationship crisis. Payment plans are available, confidential, and handled without judgment.
